Salaries will vary by establishment and location. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) figures show that fulltime gaming managers were paid a median annual figure of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest ten % earned less than $26,630, and the highest ten percent earned just over $96,610.

Gaming supervisors monitor gaming operations and workers in an assigned area. Circulating among the table games, they make sure that all stations and games are attended to for each shift. It also is accepted for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating standards for clients. Supervisors will also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and good communication skills. They need these tactics both to supervise employees adequately and to greet players in order to inspire return visits. Many casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. No matter their their educational background, however, many supervisors gain experience in other gaming occupations before moving into supervisory desks because an understanding of games and casino operations is quite essential for these workers.
