Cambodia Gambling Halls
There is an interesting background to the Cambodia gambling halls that sit just across the border from next door Thailand, in which casino gaming is banned. Eight casinos are established in a relatively tiny space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest betting centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a huge business with Thai laborers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very couple of Westerners. The phenomenal income accrued from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a few controls requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is required to be mostly Thai; although, investment sources are cryptic. The borders are ceremoniously open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00, and despite the fact visas are apparently necessary to cross, there are ways around this, as is true of many border crossings.
The initial Cambodia casinos opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in the late nineties, leaving just one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, an anchored ship gambling hall, contains 150 slot machine games and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling den is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of chemin de fer, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The 1st casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly followed. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred slot machines and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slots and 66 of the common gaming tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight casinos in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slot machines and ninety seven games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational vacation and hotel building that contains numerous luxuries on top of the casino, which houses 10,000 square feet of 130 one armed bandits and 88 tables.
Washington Casinos
Washington state provides a selection of casino and gambling options. A great many Washington casinos operated by local Indian bands are conveniently situated close to thruways or cities. Twenty-seven Washington casinos are owned in Amerindian lands. All of Washington’s casinos offer slot machines, roulette, blackjack, craps, and electronic poker. Other table games, including (but not limited to) baccarat, poker in various forms, off-track betting, keno, and bingo are playable at some casinos. The wagering age varies by casino, with some allowing gambling at eighteen, and others not until twenty-oneyears of age. A number of other casinos operate in Washington, as well, including card rooms, or so-called mini-casinos. There are a few horse tracks in Washington, and wagering is available at all of them.
24 of Washington state’s twenty-seven native casinos also provide a computerized form of scratch off lottery tickets. These machines have a $5 cap and function using cards purchased at the casino, as opposed to cash. The min payout rate on these machines is legally 75%, set by the state. Washington casinos are not legally obligated to report pay outs on slots.
Washington casinos vary from tiny freestanding businesses to big resorts with hotels, dining rooms, beauty shops, and entertainment. A couple of the Washington casinos with resorts could make a fine starting point for a longer vacation, allowing you to experience the natural wonder of Washington state and make day getaways into big urban areas for sightseeing. Las Vegas style shows and productions are available at some Washington casinos.
Washington’s gambling rules permit an adequate amount of allowance with regard to allowed wagering in Washington casinos, as well as for charitable wagering. Internet wagering, however, is banned in Washington and is a class C felony. Online horse wagering is acceptable in some conditions. Free or practice money web wagering is still allowed. Washington casinos did not speak out on the new laws, certainly because they clearly stand to benefit from them.
Washington casinos can be an enjoyable diversion or day outing for Washington residents, a wonderful way to have a night on the city, or an exciting break on a Washington holiday. Why, one of the numerous Washington casino vacation destinations could even be a vacation in itself. Washington’s gambling rules allow for exciting, legal, gambling all around the state in all of the many fine Washington casinos, so you’re certain to discover one you’ll like, it doesn’t matter if you like the nickel slot machines or high-stakes poker.
